In this 3 - 4 hour course, you will learn the basics of firearms, gun safety, operation and shooting fundamentals and have the opportunity to shoot live rounds at the range.  It is designed to be an informative course and enjoyable at the same time.  You will shoot a .22LR semi-automatic pistol, and for those who are capable, a 9mm semi-automatic pistol also.  

The "Get Acquainted" Course follows the First Steps Pistol Orientation of the National Rifle Association (NRA).  The instructors are NRA certified pistol instructors with extensive firearms experience.   

The course is comprised of two sessions at different times:  classroom and range.  All students will start at a classroom location in Westwood College in Torrance on Saturday morning.  After 2 1/2 hours of classroom time, instruction will resume at a nearby shooting range with approximately one-hour of live fire.  Students will be separated into different groups, with each group meeting at the range at pre-determined times.  The planned meeting times at the range are below.  We will determine during the classroom how we will divide these groups, considering the preferences of the student.  Students not shooting right away will have an extended lunch break.

Please wear comfortable clothing.  Wear a baseball cap at the range if you have one.  To reserve a seat, you need to register by clicking the button and making the $80 payment on the left above.
